Brazil on Screen

Poster for the upcoming Brazil on Screen film event, curated and founded by the hardworking and talented Savana Vagueiro. The top image was my first attempt, and while I was happy with the figure, it was really stiff compared to the sketch. The bottom one is the final, a lot closer to the sketch, more interesting. I'm really not used to drawing sexy females, I feel like I'm better at drawing weird old guys, but I was happy with the way this came out.

Carry-Out

Got a chance to check out the Carry-Out show last night. Great idea, lots of great stuff. The piece I put in it "Red Guy", sold. So I immediately put my ten dollars toward the top piece, "Mermaid Breath" by Brian Butler, who is a real nice guy and a talented artist. It's the first original piece of art I have ever purchased, and I think I'm off to a good start. Also saw the space 242 show, awesome to see so many names I recognize. Can't wait for the Emulsion show, feeling like I'm gaining some momentum lately.

Patterns

Playing a lot with patterns lately, kind of relaxing for me.

Updates

Couple things. First up is a panel from a possible comic I'm making with this guy. Then a recent co-lab with Dr. Burney, Massi and Les. Then some random sketches. Not sure what direction I'm headed in right now, but sketching has been really enjoyable lately.
